A Prayer by St Brendan

I determine amidst all uncertainty

always to trust

I choose to live beyond regret

and let you recreate my life.

I believe you will make a way for me

and provide for me

if only I trust and obey.

I will trust in the darkness

and know that my times

are still in your hand.

I will believe you for my future

chapter by chapter

until all the story is written.

Teach me to live with eternity in view

tune my spirit to the music of heaven.  Amen

[I am grateful to Dianne Gunton for drawing this prayer to my attention.]

Thank you for sharing this prayer. I will surely add this prayer to my morning and night prayers. I realized a lot on this prayer. It made me realize that our lives was already planned. All we have to do is to decide where to go, on the best plan or in the bad plan. It would still depend on us, on how we live our lives. I will also share this to my niece and I will say that she should include this on her prayers also. Thank you again. And may God bless you always!
